ARBUG 2012: The Diamond Standard - Promoting Quality in Online Education The annual conference for the Arkansas Blackboard Users Group [ARBUG] will be held April 12 – 13, 2012 at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock Campus. The conference is a meeting of faculty, administrators and others who use Blackboard products, but is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about distance learning. “This year’s conference will focus on quality”, said Terry Patterson, President of ARBUG. “There is a lot happening in distance learning that we all need to keep up with, especially in the area of new technology and changes in government regulations.” The conference will cover topics such as collaborative learning, online course development, mobile applications, and distance learning administration. ARBUG will also announce the winner of the Diamond Award, an annual award given to an online course that meets exemplary status on the Blackboard Exemplary Course Rubric. Breakout session proposals are welcome, and must be submitted by Friday, March 2, 2012. Diamond Award submissions will be due on February 15th, 2012.
